Mission

The purpose of the Foundation is the advancement of oral health, in particular in children and adolescents, and in particular in regions and population groups with elevated risk of caries.

Oral health has improved markedly over the last decades in developed countries. Yet, major inequalities still exist among children from poorer regions. Integrating practical dental health education as early as possible in the school program is particularly important in less developed countries.

Caries is a preventable disease. Most little teeth could be rescued with simple prophylactic measures: teaching children to brush the teeth with fluoridated paste and advising them about eating a healthy diet.

Our mission is to integrate practical and regular dental health education in the school program. All children should learn to take care of their teeth, as early as possible.
